A) Oil companies already have 69 million acres that they haven't explored
yet-the drilling stuff is a political football and B) Take a look at the
weather on the southeast coast of our country and tell me if offshore
drilling is a dependable resource-better still, watch the price at the pump
next week if you don't believe me.
Ron,according to my research, the oil reserves that haven't been tapped are
because there is no oil in them. The oil companies can't risk drilling
unless there is a reasonable chance of drilling success. Oil drilling is a
very risky and expensive operation. Off shore drilling in the Gulf is at
risk from hurricanes but in my opinion, that is a risk we have to take,
until we are free from dependence on oil.
You know as well as I do that offshore drilling alone won't help. It's far
riskier than a comprehensive alternative energy plan. What's a few lousy
pennies off the price for the effort?
Where are you getting that info that says there is no oil in those places ?
My brief research says the opposite:
Ron, here is one link to debunk the "unused oil lease" myth!
