The New World Order

“We shall have world government whether or not you like it, by conquest or consent.” - Statement by Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) member James Warburg to The Senate Foreign Relations Committee on February 17th, 1950

"We are opposed around the world by a monolithic and ruthless conspiracy that relies primarily on covert means for expanding its sphere of influence; on infiltration instead of invasion, on subversion instead of elections, on intimidation instead of free choice, on guerrillas by night instead of armies by day. It is a system which has conscripted vast human and material resources into the building of a tightly-knit highly efficient machine that combines military, diplomatic, intelligence, economic, scientific, and political operations. Its preparations are concealed, not published. Its mistakes are buried, not headlined. Its dissenters are silenced, not praised. No expenditure is questioned, no rumor is printed, no secret is revealed." John F. Kennedy

"Information is the currency of democracy." Thomas Jefferson

"A NEWS AND MEDIA BLOG IN THE LIBERTARIAN TENOR WITH LIMITED GOVERNMENT OVERTONES, FACILITATING THE FLOW OF IDEAS, INFORMATION, E-COMMERCE AND INSPIRATION WITHIN THE FREEDOM OF NET NEUTRALITY"
The Gross National Debt:
"All the perplexities, confusion and distress in America arise, not from defects in their Constitution or Confederation, not from want of honor or virtue, so much as from the downright ignorance of the nature of coin, credit and circulation." John Adams "I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around [the banks] will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs." Thomas Jefferson, Letter to the Secretary of the Treasury Albert Gallatin (1802) “When the Federal Reserve Act was passed, the people of these United States did not perceive that a world banking system was being set up here. A super-state controlled by international bankers and international industrialists acting together to enslave the world for their own pleasure. Every effort has been made by the Fed to conceal its powers but the truth is - The Fed has usurped the government!!” - Congressman Louis T. McFadden “Most Americans have no real understanding of the operation of the international money lenders. The accounts of the Federal Reserve System have never been audited. It operates outside the control of Congress and manipulates the credit of the United States.” - Barry Goldwater

"In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth.....

is a revolutionary act." (George Orwell)

"The Insurgent Republican Candidacy Of Ron Paul"

posted Mon, 05-12-08

Virtually all the nation's political attention in recent weeks has focused on the compelling state-by-state presidential nomination struggle between two Democrats and the potential for party-splitting strife over there.

But in the mTexas Rep. Ron Paul and his libertarian-minded GOP backers are collecting delegates at the local level and planning a revolt against Sen. John McCain at the Republican National Convention in St. Paul in Septembereantime, quietly, largely under the radar of most people, the forces of Rep. Ron Paul have been organizing across the country to stage an embarrassing public revolt against Sen. John McCain when Republicans gather for their national convention in Minnesota at the beginning of September.

Paul's presidential candidacy has been correctly dismissed all along in terms of winning the nomination. He was even excluded as irrelevant by Fox News from a nationally-televised GOP debate in New Hampshire.

But what's been largely overlooked is Paul's candidacy as a reflection of a powerful lingering dissatisfaction with the Arizona senator among the party's most conservative conservatives. As anticipated in late March in The Ticket, that situation could be exacerbated by today's expected announcement from former Republican Rep. Bob Barr of Georgia for the Libertarian Party's presidential nod, a slot held by Paul in 1988

In the last three months, Paul's forces, who donated $34.5 million to his White House effort and upward of a million total votes, have, as The Ticket has noted, been fighting a series of guerrilla battles with party establishment officials at county and state conventions from Washington and Missouri to Maine and Mississippi. Their goal: to take control of local committees, boost their delegate totals and influence platform debates.

Paul, for instance, favors a drastically reduced federal goNobody told these supporters of Texas Rep. and Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul that the French can't vote in American electionsvernment, abolishing the Federal Reserve, ending the Iraq war immediately and withdrawing U.S. troops from abroad.

They hope to demonstrate their disagreements with McCain vocally at the convention through platform fights and an attempt to get Paul a prominent speaking slot. Paul, who's running unopposed in his home Texas district for an 11th House term, still has some $5 million in war funds and has instructed his followers that their struggle is not about a single election, but a long-term revolution for control of the Republican Party.

So eager are they to follow their leader's words, that Paul's supporters have driven his new book, "The Revolution: A Manifesto," to the top of several bestseller lists.

While Paul has consistently refused a third-party bid, he has vowed not to endorse McCain, a refusal mirrored by hundreds of his supporters who have left comments on The Ticket in recent weeks. And, no doubt, they'll flock back here today to spread the gospel below.

Just when you thought we might be whittling down the number of presidential candidates, there's a new one about to jump in.

According to a politiFormer Georgia Representative Bob Barr is reported about to announce his presidential candidacy for the Libertarian Partycal website, Fitsnews.com, former Republican Rep. Bob Barr of Georgia is about to announce his candidacy with the Libertarian Party.

The same site predicts tonight that GOP Rep. Ron Paul of Texas, who has refused to endorse the presumptive Republican nominee Sen. John McCain and continues his own vain campaign, will endorse Barr's bid.

That would indeed make for an unusual sight, an active candidate in one party endorsing a new one in another party.

Paul actually ran as the Libertarian Party's candidate for president in 1988, but has consistently rejected a third-party bid throughout this campaign.

The 72-year-old Paul's campaign -- he's the only survivor beyond McCain of 11 Republicans from last year -- surprised many political observers with its financial potency. Some 800,000 eager and energetic voters, many of them new to politics, have given him in excess of $32 million in the last year, nearly $20 million of it in the last quarter of 2007, to make him the largest GOP fundraiser then. They developed a whole range of creative ideas to arouse political support, including a pinup calendar of nearly naked Hotties4Ron Paul.

Paul has said he will continue to slog on as long as his supporters support him with their energy and donations. He reported about $5 million cash in hand at the end of February and zero campaign debt.

As an ardent opponent of the Iraq war, Paul has declined to endorse McCain and don't expect him to change his mind. In a recent interview with Newsweek, he said his supporters would like to work within the GOP but often find themselves unwelcome. He was asked if he would urge them to vote for Republican McCain come November.

"I'm not going to tell them what to do," Paul replied. "But I honestly can't imagine any of them supporting him. That would be a tough sale. The odds of him all of a sudden coming to one of our rallies and being cheered on are not very high."

Democrat candidate for President, Senator Hilary Clinton, does not have a monopoly on never-say-die political campaigning.  Republican Congressman Ron Paul doesn't know when to quit either. Despite John McCain reaching the Republican pledged delegate count months ago, Ron Paul and his supporters are leading a Republican insurgency against the presumptive Republican candidate, John McCain. If Ron Paul and his supporters have their way, the Republican convention this fall will have plenty of fireworks. Though I find Ron Paul's isolationist ideology disagreeable, it is better than John McCain's neo-conservative ideology, in my opinion. At least Ron Paul is a Republican who was against the Iraq war from the start, as a sitting US congressman (unlike Barack Obama) and much like Barack Obama, Ron Paul has many college age/ young adult supporters. If some how Congressman Ron Paul emerges from the Republican convention as the nominee, the Republican party would be in a better position to defeat Barack Obama or Hilary Clinton in the fall, as I see it. I love American politics!

Ron Paul was on my list of possibles, but once I researched the details of what he supports and thinks, I found him more of a radical than you think Obama is. He has some things I'm really with him on, but then again he believes in things I don't agree with like getting rid of the Fed - I say not at this time.

Citizens are moaning and groaning about change this, change that, yet not only will they not take any responsibility for this mess but they don't even have the nerve to elect the someone many have only dreamed about... pathetic. So Dr Paul is reduced to being a teacher, an instructor to those who will listen. Better than nothing. I just hope people will begin to act on the information that he is revealing, even if they don't have the spirit to elect someone outside what's spoon fed to them and told that's all there is by corporate media. Good luck fellow citizens, you're gonna need it, 'cause luck will be the only possiblity you have for breaking the trance.
